For the first time ever Liverpool has two independent fashion weeks. The city is set for over a month of catwalk shows, charity events and amazing networking opportunities.
The first of these events started this Monday and is a collaboration between the John Alexandra modelling agency and Lifestyle monthly magazine, hosted by fabulous celebrity stylist and 'gay about town' Julian Bennett.
Lifestyle magazine's fashion week has been showcasing collections from over 15 shops plus both well known, up and coming, designers including Lady Vengeance, Fred and Mad, Samantha Cole and Boudoir Boutique amongst others. Helping to promote local designers seems to be the agenda.
Their grand closing party held this coming Friday at the Albert Docks Circo, will be free to enter but to make sure you get a place on the guest list email nicola@johnalexandra.com
If their opening party is anything to go by then this one shouldn't be missed. (see you there)
If this wasn't enough to wet you apitite, then get ready for the 4th official Liverpool fashion week.
This well established event has, since its first year, gained national press coverage due to it celebrity pulling power.
The week of shows will display respected local designers as well as internationally credible collections including Samantha Cole. (New York Fashion 09's weeks best womens' wear designer.)
The shows will be from Monday the 23rd of November til Friday the 27th. Check out the website for more news and booking details. Tickets are starting from £10.
