The Justice Vogue Ball. (only 2 weeks left to get your tickets)

This is definitely in my top five favourite pictures that I took this year and the event is going to be unreal. Can't wait..

On the 29th of October 2010 the Vogue Ball will return to Liverpool by very popular demand for an even bigger night of hedonism! With the famous dance off competitions, celebrity judges, catwalks and more, its literally set to blow the roof off!

Click flyers to read info close-up or visit the House of Suarez page and look at events for info on where to get tickets.

Last minute London shoot.

Now don't get me wrong I love working in Liverpool. Even if I've been working fifteen hour days the past two weeks. However the opportunity to go on location to London next week is far too good too miss. This only fell on my lap this evening, so work will have to be moved around last min. The impossible will have to be made possible.

Right so I've got the moaning bit out the way, now I'll tell you about the good bit. Firstly I will be working with stylist Danielle Timperly again. The last shoot we worked on together produced these (yes I am blowing my own trumpet) amazing images below.

And secondly, this time we get to play with actual designer and possibly couture clothes rather than these delightfully mass produced high street items.

Danielle has also come up with the dream mood board that includes images from one of England greatest fashion photographers; Tim Walker. One of the shots is from, in my eyes, the best Vogue shoot of the past decade. The 2005 Lilly Cole spread shot in India. Any Vogue fan should recall.

The only other information I know is that the two images above are possible locations and that we will be using one of the models from Manchester model agency, Boss.

The use of the shoot is still not clear but with all of the above I think it's going to be a good one. I'll post it as soon as it's cleared.

Preview of Kirsty Doyle's A/W 10.

The first wave of this years A/W collection has already hit the rails in Kirstys boutique, with more on the way soon.

So far the collection includes camel jackets, mo hair coats (as seen) and camel or navy wide legged trousers inspired by vintage sailors. The trousers are all finished to each customers leg length. A/W10 is geared towards ultra stylish work wear and dresses that utilise Kirsty's signature draping techniques.

This year Kirsty plans to expand by doing the rounds at London fashion week and looking for Southern stockists, further placing her as a nationally credible fashion brand. Her Liverpool one store is also on the move as of tomorrow. Moving just a few doors away from the existing shop (on Manestys Lane) to a more visible location right next to Habitat. This should be complete by around mid October. In the mean time keep your eye out on the website where you can order from any of the existing collections at www.kirsty-doyle.com (full look book for A/W10 is coming very soon to website)

A month in pictures. Races/Fashion/Wags/models/dancers and even a cheeky pic of the Queen...

So much to say... so little time...

Its been a very busy month... well apart from my very lazy week in the Balearic Island. While there I got the chance to chat fashion with David Leavens, who until 2 years ago was the Managing Director of Nicole Farhi for 22 years. I later asked if he would mind doing an interview for my blog, so keep your eye out for that on here. Any one who wants to get into fashion, it's a great insight to how the industry has evolved over the years and how to get ahead in fashion.

There of course was also a little time for some fun..

..

So photo wise back in sunny Liverpool I've been shooting some new shots for Voodou hairdressers and along the way discovered some fabulous new modelling talent, Matt King who has been snapped up by Pulse Models...

This was for their website.

Matt King (above) will also feature in the denim shoot that's gonna be posted on here later this week. The other shot is for Voodou's Wella Colour Comp entry. (since this post was written, Ro from Voodou has informed me the entry has been the only one from Liverpool to get through to the final.)

..
I've also been working with Moneynorth doing some rather sexy press shots for Chantelle Tagoe, the beautiful girlfriend of football striker Emile Heskey.  Here's a little preview....
..

Kirsty Doyle added 7 new pieces to her Spring/Summer 2010 collection so here is the shoot for them. They are all available to buy in her Liverpool one store.

..
Did anyone go to the races? I'll have to admit there were one or two fashion atrocities present. Come on Liverpool you can do  better then that. It was more like a fancy dress party than a fashionable day out. p.s. Thanks for all your support Daily Mail.
Not all was bad though, there were a few triumphs of style. All though the best dressed winner seemed to lack any imagination in her style unfortunately proving less really is more.
Here are a few of the photos I took during the Matalan fashion event I worked on. I'll let you decide what's fabulous or freighting......

This Lady is wearing a rather fetching garden on her head. They really should have a best hat competition. Winner!

Celebrity Judges....

Oh and the Queen.

Some good old fashion scouse girls!

Pimms O'clock?

Arrr bless.

The Matalan fashion show.

Anyone for Croquet?

This is gonna make for some interesting tan lines!

..and is a snip-it from my Select Magazine Fashion shoot featuring Races Fashion shot at Mal Maison..

..

Then after this it was back to the studio to shoot the new press shot for the forthcoming Justice Ball.
If anyone went the the Vogue ball at during the Homotopia festival a few years back then the concept is back with a bang. It will be a evening of overt, outrageous and hopefully shocking dance off's between some of the best acts in Britain. The best will surly be crowned the King or more aptly Queen of the Ball.
The event will be sometime around October somewhere in Liverpool. The evening will be presented by House of Suarez. Contact him for more Info.

..

I've been working with fashions future stars again. This time Rosa Masters from Uclan. This shoot is based on all those spoilt little rich girls in L.A. and features some items only available in the USA at the moment.

Well thats enough for now. Don't forget to keep you eye out for the denim shoot later this week.

Start your races day fashionably at Radisson Blu. (exclusive firecracker discount)

I've just been talking to my brother the director of sales at the Radisson about the final plans for my races fashion shoot for Select magazine.

Just email Ben at ben.ford@radissonblu.com to book your private space over looking the river, Don't forget to mention Firecracker. I hear lots of Racing industry Glitterati are staying so the chances are you will get some hot betting tips.

Close swap and designer buy website www.Myfashionjunkie.com goes live.

You may have read my post a while back about MFJ. Well they are finally on line. If you click the link to the post underneath you can read the interview I did for them for Select Magazine and see the photo shoot I did for the website home pages. Or simply click to go straight to their website.

The brief description of what they do is you sell your unwanted clothes to them for MFJ credit and with it you buy stuff back off their website. Plus they have featured designers. They're a very new company but over the next few weeks I imagine there's gonna be an ever increasing number of cool items on there.

I'm also looking forward to them doing mens stuff in the near future!

Mad Hatters Tea party, today @ Kirsty Doyles Store.

I better make this VERY quick, my next client is due in about 35 seconds.

I've just been for a quick nose in Kirsty's store. (right by urban outfitters and Habitat, L1.) She has the delicious Jemma Volp-Fletcher giving out her fabulous cakes from her 'Cup of love bakery' and Hannah Ellen is giving make-up demos on passers by (you).

You can also pop in for a cup of raspberry tea. I didn't stay long enough for that but I did run off with a  massive box of cakes! She's open till 8 tonight so I will see you later on if you decide to go.

I've also just finished Kirsty's website cover shots, here's a look.....

Part of Kirsty's inspiration this year was wild summer nights, so we have included some dramatic skies into the images.
